Lashing point

Good intentions do not always yield good results. Here we see a trailer that was not originally equipped with lashing points. Instead, home-made lashing points have been fitted. Undoubtedly, these lashing points are capable of withstanding some kind of load, but nobody knows how much.
Lashing hooks have been attached to the lashing points, sometimes as many as are physically possible. And again, that is not the wisest thing to do. Almost all the hooks are hooked into other hooks. This crushes the belt that is already there, which serves to weaken it rather than strengthen it. Nobody will be able to claim that this is safe.
