A 4800 TEU container ship in rough weather. Winds of gale force 10 to 11 (approximately 89 to 117 km/h). There is a heavy swell from 4 points starboard bow (45°).

Even a 4800 TEU ship needs to have due respect for water. This respect should result in a defensive reaction by the captain (e.g. a reduction in speed).
