"Little" bump, big effect:
Aluminium sheet (worth USD 186,000) strapped together into packages was loaded and transported on an articulated flat freight car with gaps between the packages and without being secured. The first switching impact was enough to make all the packages slip. The packaging of wooden skids and steel strapping could not withstand the strain, resulting in the majority of the sheets being damaged.
